Pardon the Babe movie reference, but I've found that one of my new favorite things is sheep puns... BECAUSE WE NOW HAVE SHEEP!!!
Ben and I bought a flock of Katahdin/Dorper cross sheep! That particular cross is known for being extremely hardy and for growing healthy hearty lambs to be raised for meat. The other extremely cool thing about them is that they are HAIR sheep, so no need to shear them! The simply shed it off (or mostly shed it off).
The sheep seem to be very friendly and docile. They've also decided that they too love pumpkins like the pigs and poultry do. They're in a fancy new pen and are eating the best hay in the house.
Please welcome Gretchen, Patsy, Loretta, Dolly, Shania, Faith, Miranda, Martina, Wynona, Reba and their Ram friend, Hootie!
